This backyard fell away so steeply it was barely usable. Split-face block walls now hold two level terraces with compacted gravel and fresh garden beds, and the drop is protected by a hardwood and stainless cable balustrade that keeps the outlook over the willows open. Steps tie the levels together so the whole yard is finally part of the house.
