About
A lifetime in Tasmanian landscapes

My apprenticeship started at five years old
G'day, I'm Robin. I grew up working in my family's native plant nursery and landscaping business on the Tasman Peninsula. Plants, stone and soil have been my trade for as long as I can remember.
My love for stone work led me to help create some of Tasmania's favourite walking tracks as a contractor, including the Three Capes Track, Shipstern Bluff track and the Wineglass Bay track. If you've walked them, you've walked on the kind of stonework I bring to gardens.
I've also worked for Parks and Wildlife as a ranger, caring for the landscapes this island is famous for. Most recently I worked with Macquarie Builders and St Joseph's Affordable Homes, delivering multimillion-dollar commercial construction projects to the exacting standards, tolerances and compliance requirements that large-scale work demands. It was a deliberate final step: I wanted commercial-grade construction expertise behind everything I build.
Cloudscapes is the result: one person who can design your landscape, build it properly, and plant it with species that will thrive, using knowledge passed down through generations.
The building years
Commercial-grade skills, backyard scale
Years on large construction sites, from structural steel and slabs to heritage fit-outs, mean your retaining wall, deck or steps are built to the same standard.
